Introduction
Movie Box - Ai KDrama & Movies (“Movie Box”, “we”, “our”) is a personal tracker and discovery app for movies, TV shows, K-dramas, and anime. This Privacy Policy explains what information is processed when you use the iOS app and how you can contact us.
Your data stays on your device
Your watchlist, ratings, notes, episode progress, and preferences are stored locally on your iPhone. We do not operate user accounts, sign-in, or a backend that receives your library content.
What we collect
We do not collect personal information on our own servers. Movie Box has no registration flow and no cloud sync of your watch data controlled by us.
Third-party APIs
To show titles, posters, and metadata, the app contacts public services such as TMDB and anime data providers (e.g. Jikan / AniList). Requests may include search terms or content IDs you look up. Those services have their own privacy policies.
AI assistant (Chatbox AI)
If you use the in-app AI chat, the text you send is transmitted to our AI provider to generate a reply. Do not enter passwords, payment details, or sensitive personal data in chat messages.
Notifications
Reminders are scheduled with iOS local notifications on your device. We do not use remote push notification servers for Movie Box.
Advertising
Movie Box may display ads through Google AdMob (banner and full-screen formats). Ad delivery may involve:
- Apple’s App Tracking Transparency (ATT), if you choose to allow tracking on iOS
- Google’s User Messaging Platform (UMP) for consent where required
We do not run our own ad network and we do not sell your watchlist or notes.
Analytics
Movie Box does not include first-party analytics SDKs. We do not build a usage profile of you on servers we control. Third-party ad partners may process limited device or advertising identifiers under their policies when ads are shown.
Data export & deletion
You can export your library as JSON from Settings at any time. Uninstalling the app permanently removes locally stored data from your device.
Children
Movie Box is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided information through the app, contact us and we will assist with removal steps where applicable.
